Your Customers Are About to GET PAID

Tax Refund season is coming and your customers are about to get a windfall.

Bank of America just released the numbers: Americans will receive $65 billion more in tax returns this year than last. That's an 18% increase. The average return is $3,400.

If you sell to consumers, this is your moment. If you’d like a few ideas on how to cash in on the windfall, here are a few themes you could use:

“Return” to (YOUR BIZ) Pull up everyone who used to be a customer but isn't anymore. Offer them a "return" promotion with an April 15th deadline. They have unexpected money and you're giving them a reason to come back.

Bye Bye Bills. The first thing people do with their return is pay off bills. Go to your monthly payment customers/clients and offer them the chance to convert to an annual plan. Turn twelve payment into one. Bye Bye Bill until ‘27. The big bonus for you is that you get cash locked in for 12 months.

(Product) now Free (Thanks to the IRS). After bills, the stats show that people will splurge a little. Position your product as that splurge. "You've been dreaming about this. You’ve had it on your bucket list for a while. Now it's practically free, paid for by your tax return. Thanks IRS!"

I was taught that it’s our job as marketers to find a 1,000 ways to say the same thing. This theme - or any theme that affects your ideal client - is your chance to put a twist on your offers to try and get their sale.

We’re Slowly Escaping the Darkness of Winter

Winter is absolutely doing a number on me this year. I’ve been COLD since November and the lack of daylight is just driving me mad. But, there’s good news on the way. By the end of this short 28 day month, we will have almost 60 more minutes of daylight.

Spring is coming—no matter what that lying groundhog says.

If you’re on “walk the dog after the day is done duties” like me, this gives me much better odds of not being flattened with a bag of dog mess in one hand. Bonus.

And, it won’t be long until we’re swinging golf clubs - is it too early to set tee times?
