Quit Faster and Move Further
You’re able to survive as an entrepreneur because you’re willing to take stunning defeat after defeat and still keep moving forward. Sales pitches that flop, product launches that are “so-so,” and revenue months that come up a bit short but show “promise” for the future. That resiliency is an asset.
It’s also a CURSE. You’re able to endure months of poor results before recognizing it’s time to make a change in what you’re doing. In the Fridays Off Theory, I have a pillar called “Strategic Quitting.” It’s the idea that each month we should evaluate our time and find meetings, habits, products, and patterns that are not generating results and QUIT THEM.
It’s not in our nature to stop trying something that “might” work. But, once you have the data that something isn’t doing what you want it to do you MUST quit the activity and use your most precious resource (time) in a different way.
This week: Review your calendar and to-do list and find at least one meeting/task/responsibility and quit it.
Not only is it good for the business it’s also incredibly liberating to cancel a meeting or drop a responsibility.
Remember, there are NO BONUS POINTS FOR BEING BUSY.
Get ruthless with your time and you’re one step closer to Fridays Off.

Quick Hit - It’s the Best Week of the Year

Can #SBOC25 top #SBOC24?!?!
For the past 10 months, my team and I have been planning and building the Small Business Owners Community Conference presented by Horicon Bank. It’s FINALLY HERE! For the next 4 days, I’ll be hosting the event, connecting with our guests, and doing my best to move every person forward towards their small business dream.
Before we kick off, I just want to say thank you to our guests, sponsors, and speakers for their valuable time and attention. It’s their participation that makes this the best week of the year for me.
It’s SHOWTIME…Talk to you when the smoke clears,
Pat
