Imposter Syndrome For All
Inside the SBOC we had an awesome discussion about imposter syndrome. We shared our thoughts and noticed that it pops up when we do things in front of a crowd, behind the scenes, when doing new tasks or tasks we've done a thousand times.
In fact, the business owners shared with one another that imposter syndrome seems to be with us every day all the time.
Where does it pop up for you?
Isn't it interesting that if I asked you, "What is your greatest strength?" you'll find that imposter syndrome is still present when you perform those tasks.
This is one of those situations where we need to acknowledge that it’s there and use whatever coping mechanism we can to keep moving forward. At the end of the day, that seems to be the only way that imposter syndrome can win: by letting it stop you from being great.
Perhaps the greatest question to defeat imposter syndrome is the one I heard long ago: “What would you do if you knew you’d succeed?”
That’s your inspiration for the week…where are you holding because because you feel like you’re not good enough.
Get over it and push ahead.
Three Things I Think I Think This Week:
1 - The Organization Problem has CHANGED - My business is accelerating and I’m trying to keep it all together. As I get more things done (thanks AI,) it’s getting harder to stay on top of all the things being accomplished which is an odd feeling. It USED to be that we had to keep up with all that needed to be done. Now, I’m trying to keep up with all that is getting done. This is going to take a minute to get used to.
2 - 🍻 Beer, Pizza and Claude Basic Training - I’m hosting a new event for November 19 that will offer three things I love: Beer, Pizza, and Claude. This NEW training event will get you up to speed on the two biggest things you need to install Claude in your business: How do you think about using AI and what do you ask it to do first. You’ll leave with a new perspective, action steps, and custom skills (instructions) to immediately make your Claude more powerful and effective.
Beyond the training, Pizza and Beer/Wine are INCLUDED - yes, Open Bar (?!?!) It’s $99 for the training, pizza, beer, and the Claude Basic Training Workshop. Can’t be beat. And, being a Chicago guy, we’re getting the good stuff - Lou Malnati’s!
