You Know Your Next 5 Leads

To make more sales, we need to be in touch with the right potential customers. Often, we believe a new lead is someone you need to go out and find. But, I bet we could find you five new leads from people who already know you and your business. In fact, they're probably already listening to what you have to say, showing up in the same rooms, and paying attention to what you’re posting online.

So let's lay out three action steps you could take this week to find your next 5 leads.

Create a free workshop - Announce a small group (5-7 people), in-person conversation/training/workshop around your area of expertise. During the event, demonstrate your skill, illustrate a problem you uniquely solve, and listen for attendees that would like to continue the discussion for your services. Give away value like crazy and make sure they leave with tangible value. Give them a taste of how working with you changes their business for the better. Meetings like this are a great way to build trust and showcase the transformation you provide for your best clients.

Contact your engaged audience - If you write a newsletter or post on social, it’s really simple to see who is reading your content or leaving comments/reactions. Take 20 minutes and write down the people who are engaged with your content in the past few weeks. Then, send each of them a DM or private email thanking them for their time and asking them what it is about your content that they’re curious about. Share a booking calendar and invite them to a 30 minute conversation about it. If they’re regularly reading your stuff, they would probably welcome the chance to spend some one-on-one time to ask a few questions.

Reignite past conversations - If you’ve been in business for a while, you have a long list of past clients and leads that turned your down. Who did you pitch in 2023 and 2024 that “didn’t have the funds,” or the time at the moment? Make the list and re-engage. Also, don’t forget previous clients. If they had a great engagement with you in the past, they may welcome the opportunity to work with you again.

These three strategies are simple and they don’t require you to meet anyone new.
Challenge: Do you think you can generate five leads by next Monday?

Good luck!
